Clinical Approach

I take a natural, holistic approach to improving health. Rather than promoting restrictive diets or rapid weight loss, I focus on sustainable, long-term changes that support both wellbeing and quality of life.

Food and lifestyle changes should enhance your enjoyment of life, not diminish it. Any restrictions are considered carefully to ensure the benefits truly outweigh the costs.

My primary tools are personalised nutrition and practical lifestyle improvements, with supplements and laboratory testing used strategically where appropriate. I provide science-based guidance to help you navigate marketing and fads to invest only in what is genuinely effectively.

If your relationship with food has been tainted by guilt or rigid rules, I incorporate an Empowered Eating approach; prioritising a healthier relationship with food, your body, and yourself.

What to expect in your initial consultation

Once your initial consultation is booked, you’ll receive a detailed intake form covering your health history, current challenges, goals, and food and exercise patterns. Gathering this information allows me to do preliminary research so we can make the most efficient use of our time in consultation.

Our session begins by exploring your health concerns, goals, values, and motivations; these form the foundation of all recommendations. For in-person appointments, I offer an optional nutrition-focused physical assessment, where we screen for visible signs of nutritional imbalances.

We’ll also explore your health history, relationship with food, dietary patterns, digestion, lab results, medical conditions, and anything else relevant to your wellbeing.

After gathering the full picture, we’ll discuss appropriate nutrition strategies, lifestyle adjustments, further testing if needed, and referrals where appropriate. Intervention plans are developed collaboratively and tailored to align with your values and capacity for change.

Following the consultation, I’ll finalise your personalised plan and send it to you within three business days. Ongoing support is available via email and, if desired, follow-up consultations and check-ins can provide structured accountability and plan adjustments as you progress.

Consultations are available in person at my home office in Whanganui, New Zealand, or online via video call.

Training and Experience

I have completed training as a Nutrition coach, Health Coach and Empowered Eating Coach. I am currently practicing as a Health Coach within medical centres in Whanganui while completing my final year of Clinical Nutrition studies.

As a student practitioner, I work closely with my course provider, Holistic Performance Institute, and receive mentorship from Hoffman Natural Health. This ensures that all client interventions are strategically targeted, safe, evidence-informed, and clinically appropriate.
